TravelWhether you plan on flying, driving or taking the train we hope that you find information here to make your journey easier. Airport TransfersEvery Saturday we run a minibus and trailer to Geneva, typically arriving at 10am and leaving again at 4pm. The cost for this transfer is £30 each way. If you can not fly into Geneva then we can arrange for transfers from other airports, but the cost is likely to be higher, particularly for smaller groups and individuals. There are a few airports serving Les Arcs (Geneva | Lyon | Grenoble) all with reasonable transfer times to The Mountain Bike Chalet. The most popular airport is Geneva, 2.5 hours away. Lyon airport is just under 3 hours away. The Lyon Airport web site is quite helpful and lists the airlines serving it. Grenoble airport is a bit closer than Lyon at 2.5 hours away, they have their own web site or there is quite a good unofficial site. Airlines Serving Local Airports
The following airlines serve some or all of the above airports. It is not an exhaustive list and it is worth checking the web sites of the above airports for a full list. buzzaway.com There are high speed links from Paris to Bourg St Maurice on the TGV by day (approx 5 hours) or overnight sleeper trains (approx 9 hours), which combined with the Eurostar service from London St Pancras can make for a hassle free journey. Bourg St Maurice is only 15 minutes drive from Chalet Algonquin and we will gladly pick you up for free upon your arrival.
There are excellent motorway links to within an hour of The Mountain Bike Chalet Co. A 10 hour journey time from Calais, allowing only for fuel stops, is not unrealistic, with toll charges of approximately £50.
